The first Big R Dynasonics were built using the left over shells drilled for the oval badge. The oval badge ends at 60000 early to mid 1975 and the Big "R"/Memriloc era starts. Also changed the snare frame to the blunt end type (no more posts). In mid to late 1974 about mid 4xxxx serial number, Rogers switched to the one piece welded bottom rim, the one with the hole in it and the cut outs for ease of turning the 2 rods next to the throw and the butt with a drum key. Should have the three piece bottom rim and the snare frame with the ladder style ends (posts). The dating info I have would put a 40xxx Dynasonic snare drum around 1973 Fullerton, CA.
